Evacuation Preparedness: Food & Water

Some emergency situations require us to evacuate our homes.  It is important that we be ready for such situations. This week's task is one of the ways to be ready for an evacuation.

This week's task

Pack a grab and go bag with food and water for you and your family. Be sure to include healthy snack items and a few items for pleasure as well. Examples would be things like dried fruit, nuts, peanut butter, crackers and granola bars.

Make sure to note the expiration dates of those food items on a slip of paper in your emergency binder or in a pocket of the bag.  Also make a note on your calendar about a month before they expire that you need to use and replace those items. We don't want our hard-earned money that God blessed us with to go to waste.

Home Inventory Task cont'd
Set aside 5-15 minutes each day during the upcoming week to take an inventory of the items in your living room.
